La apuesta de España por las energías renovables está dando sus frutos. El sector solar, en particular, se ha convertido en un motor de crecimiento económico y generación de empleo. Con la creación de 179.000 nuevos puestos de trabajo para 2027, España no solo lidera la transición energética en Europa, sino que también contribuye a mejorar la calidad de vida de sus ciudadanos.
Récord histórico en el sector solar de España
Nada más en 2023, España experimentó un crecimiento exponencial en su capacidad de generación de energía solar fotovoltaica, alcanzando un incremento del 28% respecto al año anterior.
De hecho, con la incorporación de 5.594 megavatios de potencia solar fotovoltaica en 2023, consolidó su posición como uno de los líderes europeos en la generación de energía solar. Cabe destacar que, esta cantidad de energía podría abastecer de electricidad a 5.594.000 hogares anualmente.
Con este crecimiento, la energía solar representa ahora el 20,3% de toda la electricidad generada en España. Posicionando al país como el segundo mayor productor de energía solar de la ENTSO-E.
Crecimiento del empleo español para 2027
En primera instancia, la expansión del sector solar se traduce en un incremento significativo del empleo. Y esto se puede evidenciar en el informe «Green Economy Global» de Randstad, en donde se proyecta que España será el segundo país europeo en generar más empleos solares para 2027.
Consolidando su posición como líder europeo en empleo solar, superando a países como Polonia, Francia, Italia, Países Bajos y Suecia, y situándose solo por detrás de Alemania.
Según las estimaciones de Francisco Serrano, experto en Ingeniería de Randstad Professional, los siete principales mercados de la UE concentrarán el 73% de los empleos solares en 2027. Sumando un total de 886.000 puestos a tiempo completo. El resto de los puestos de trabajo, un 27%, se generarán en los otros 20 países miembros de la UE.
Asimismo, el informe de Randstad explica que la energía solar fotovoltaica fue la tecnología que más dinamizó el empleo en el sector de las energías renovables durante 2022.
En este sentido, con 4,9 millones de empleos, la industria solar generó más puestos de trabajo que el sector de biocombustibles, que alcanzó los 3,58 millones. Seguidos de la energía hidráulica con 2,49 millones de empleos y 1,4 millones del sector de energía eólica.
De hecho, dentro del contexto global de las energías renovables, la Unión Europea se consolidó como un actor clave, generando 1,64 millones de empleos. Sin embargo, China mantuvo su liderazgo con 5,5 millones de puestos de trabajo.
