En plena competencia por captar la atención de sus inversores, BBVA y Banco Santander han anunciado aumentos significativos en sus dividendos, lo que fortalece sus retribuciones a los accionistas en las próximas semanas. Estas entidades financieras están dispuestas a mejorar la rentabilidad para aquellos que confían en sus acciones, reforzando así su atractivo en un mercado cada vez más competitivo.
BBVA: Dividendo histórico para octubre
BBVA ha dado un gran paso en su lucha por destacarse, anunciando un incremento del 81% en la retribución a sus accionistas respecto al mismo periodo del año anterior. El banco pagará 0,29 euros por acción el próximo 10 de octubre, superando con creces los 0,16 euros distribuidos en octubre de 2023. Este dividendo ofrece una rentabilidad del 3%, un dato atractivo que rivaliza con el 4,2% pagado por Banco Sabadell recientemente.
Los inversores que deseen beneficiarse de este pago deberán tener sus acciones antes del 8 de octubre, ya que ese día las acciones comenzarán a cotizar sin derecho a cobro del dividendo. Con este pago, BBVA inaugura su retribución a cuenta de los resultados de 2024, que se espera sean históricos, con un beneficio neto estimado de 9.250 millones de euros.
El próximo pago en abril podría ascender a 0,525 euros por acción, lo que, sumado al dividendo de octubre, elevaría la cifra total a 0,815 euros por acción con cargo a 2024, una rentabilidad total del 8,2%. Además, el banco vasco contempla destinar entre el 40% y el 50% de sus beneficios a la remuneración de sus accionistas, lo que podría traducirse en una cifra entre 3.700 y 4.600 millones de euros.
Banco Santander: Más dividendo en noviembre
Por su parte, Banco Santander no se queda atrás. La entidad distribuirá un dividendo de 0,10 euros por acción el próximo 1 de noviembre, ofreciendo una rentabilidad del 2% en los niveles actuales. Este dividendo representa un aumento del 23% respecto al mismo periodo del año anterior, según El Economista.
El banco presidido por Ana Botín destinará 3.050 millones de euros a los pagos a cuenta de los resultados de 2024, lo que corresponde al 50% del beneficio obtenido en el primer semestre del año. En conjunto, la rentabilidad anualizada de la retribución a los accionistas de Banco Santander podría alcanzar el 9%, sumando así aún más valor a su atractivo bursátil.
